Introduction

For the past 2 years I have been working with the BBC as a Junior UX Designer. Previously I have work in South Korea for 2 years as an English language teacher and a UX Designer. This has given me the ability to adapt to many kinds of environments. The experiences I have gained has helped me to develop my organisational and management skills, design and technical abilities, which also broaden my understanding of the world that we live in. While working in the design field the skills I brought to the jobs were research practices, user personas, user journey mapping, wireframes and prototypes for applications on digital platforms. Furthermore, organising talk sessions with the Samsung UX Design team from South Korea, Adobe and more for the BBC UX&D monthly Studio Day sessions.

Moreover, I worked on the Component Library and Collider Desktop Application, which are internal tools to help developer and designers to share and reuse web component and to create mock-ups with live web components.

iPlayer is my second placement as a junior UX Designer. I had the opportunity to work in a fast pace, where agile work processes are in place to create an environment where dynamic user design can be applied to the entertainment space.
